Cloud network engineer specializes in moving networks and functions to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures to maximize their flexibility and productivity.   

The role varies depending on the specific employer or the project, but most common job responsibilities include:  

  • Identify appropriate cloud providers  
  • Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions  
  • Ensure the cloud network is responsive to user demands  
  • Scaling cloud services to growing businesses  
  • Troubleshoot any issues which may arise  
  • Liaising with companies to determine growth plans  
  • Monitoring usage of cloud network  
  • Implement effective security strategies on networks

Job Responsibilities of a Network Engineer  

Apart from designing and building networks, the network engineer tests the network platform and uses specialized software to teach users to communicate within the network. They also forecast potential needs for the network expansion and monitor bandwidth ana analyze routers to manage the improvements to meet the network requirements.   

Most common duties of a network engineer include:  

  • Setting up user accounts  
  • Troubleshooting issues with a computer network  
  • Developing processes for installation to reduce interruption  
  • Preparing backup systems to defend against any outages  
  • Network reliability monitoring
